With "Land of Escape," I am initiating a series with this work that deals with the interaction between humans and nature. My approach is not just to depict landscapes, but to use them as a platform for deeper reflections on our environment and our place within it.
"Land of Escape" serves as an entry point into a series where each piece explores a unique facet of this relationship. This particular piece employs a vibrant and intense color palette as well as the technique of screen printing to capture the powerful presence and beauty of nature. The central volcano, surrounded by robust rock formations and a reflective water surface, is not only a visual center but also a symbol of the unstoppable force and majesty of the natural world.
In this series, I want to further explore the dynamics between visual representation and deeper ecological and psychological themes. The subsequent works will delve into various aspects such as resilience, tranquility, and human perception of nature. The goal is to guide viewers to consciously perceive and perhaps reassess their relationship with the environment.
"Land of Escape" thus lays the foundation for an artistic exploration that both celebrates the beauty of nature and critically questions how we experience and influence this beauty. As an artist, I see myself in this series as a storyteller who poses complex questions about our existence and our interactions with the environment through visual means.
